About RoSPA IART

Irish Advanced Rider Training (IART) is a ROSPA Advanced Rider Group that aims is to improve motorcycle safety by sharing knowledge and experience with members of the group.

The group was founded in October 2010 and was the first RoSPA motorcycle group in Ireland. We currently have over 275 members from around the country. New members are always welcome!

The RoSPA test is internationally recognised as the gold standard of competency for motorcycle riders.

The objectives of the Group is to encourage an interest in road safety, to improve riding standards and in particular to help riders pass the RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders Driving test (RoDAR test).

We provide guidance and tuition to members on achieving and retaining a ROSPA advanced motorcyclist qualification.

Monthly rideouts take place on the 2nd Sunday of every month, mainly from the Dublin area although this is being extended to other locations as membership grows.

We have an extensive calendar of events which includes:

  • Monthly Rideouts
  • Quarterly Ride School covering aspects of theory of advanced riding
  • Overseas trips
  • Evening Rideouts during summer months

Membership is open to everyone that holds a full motorcycle licence.
